there's a certain slant of light,
winter afternoons--
that opresses, like the heft
of cathedral tunes--

heavenly hurt, it gives us--
we can find no scar,
but internal difference,
where the meanings are--

my landlord dosent seem to believe in plants, either potted or planted around his house, which is why we live in a plant-less state at home. if you ask me that is such a pity, i love having flowers around. anyway, there is this half-wall that seperates my house from the next and they have a backgarden. its quite unremarkable, nothing much to get pleasure out of at any rate, lot of bushy plants, two coconut trees, thats about all. some of the plants have leaves that fall across the wall and last sunday after an impromptu shower i saw these largish ants across all the leaves i could see. so, out came the camera and this is one of the shots i thought were postable. you might see more of his family here soon :)

Nice tones

interesting perspective... and as maaya said nice tone.. keep them coming...routed via maaya blog..

Ants are so much like human beings, they farm fungi, raise aphids as livestock, launch armies into war, use chemical sprays to alarm and confuse enemies, capture slaves, engage in child labor, exchange information ceaselessly. They do everything but watch television.
